The Intergalactic 2950 exhibition on Star Citizen has just closed its doors and we hope that you have been able to discover some beautiful things… even if we are still expecting many more.
For our part, we are working hard to make sure you have a memorable weekend. Organising such an event is more tedious than usual in view of the health situation we are all going through at the moment.
In the following information, we will explain the main points to you.
A convention in 2021… are sick?!
As you understood earlier, the Bar Citizen of Liège has had to evolve because more and more of you are following us.
So yes, in addition to the now traditional “boulets Liégeois” meal, the project seems crazy to create a Convention for 2021 despite the current events, but we believe in it and many of you believe in it too!
When we saw you arriving en masse on the Discord of the BE@Con on November 15th, we lived your interest as a great moment, proof that the idea is not so “capillotracted” !
How we organize ourselves
We did plan to collect a maximum of aUEC in Star Citizen, but these credits have not yet run out in Belgium and in life in general?
More seriously, we are therefore working on several options in partnership with the authorities, hotels and various associations, which will be of invaluable help to us in preparing the event in the best possible way.
The warm welcome of these institutions reassures us in the soundness of our objectives, but it simply won’t be enough… and this is where you come in!
So as not to hide anything from you, without your support, it will be very difficult for us to make this project a reality.

Whether you are present or not, you can also support us financially via the Helloasso platform, set up by Pulsar 42, our partner and administrative support.
The money collected thanks to your donations will be used to finance items such as the rental of the hall, its decoration… but also and above all for the obligatory insurance policies, security, Covid hygiene equipment, …
We would also like to point out that the BE@Con teams work voluntarily with passion and dedication, each one even paying his own place.
As you will have understood, our only remuneration: your smiles!
A community partnership
BE@Con being a very young association, we commit ourselves on a strictly private basis in the organisation of this event.
Also, in order to be able to respect the regulations in terms of event organisation, we naturally concluded a partnership with Pulsar 42, which has been working for several years within the French-speaking community (but not only…) of Star Citizen.
Thanks to their help, we can guarantee the security of the event through insurance, ticketing management, raffle and donations. Transparent accounting!
The health crisis?
We are following the evolution of the (Belgian) Covid19 very closely, and as such, a postponement of the event cannot be excluded… certainly not a cancellation!
Together with our partners, we are optimistic that the event will be organised in optimal safety conditions, no risk will be incurred for the visitor!
You will find on our site a summary of the legal measures planned and to be foreseen as the date approaches. We are and will be taking into account the measures taken at European level.
